Bangkok Prep sporting updates: October 20, 2017 TISAC Snr Table Tennis Championship 3rd Place Bangkok Prep performed very strongly the Table Tennis Championship involving seven schools from the TISAC Conference. From a team of eight, four of the students went through the group stage and made the quarter finals: Ann (Y 12), Tee (Y 11), Tara (Y 13) and Mayank (Y 13) were the quarter finalists. Tee then went on to beat the 2nd seeded player in the quarter finals but lost to the number 1 seed in the semi-final in a very tight game. Overall the team finished a very impressive 3rd place. TISAC U13 Boys Basketball exceptional against BCIS (51 – 16 Win) The U13 boys have been making continual improvements throughout the term and the last game showed a dominant performance against BCIS. From the first whistle to the last Prep were aggressive and clinical in attack while working hard and being tight in defence. This limited the opportunities for BCIS and the fast attack from Prep tired BCIS out. It was once again a team performance that won the game for Prep who ran out convincing winners 51 – 16 BISAC U15 Boys Basketball Dominate at NIST (62 – 32 Win) The U15 boys went in the game as an unknown quality to NIST and the same for Prep but by the end of the game a clear victor was shown. Before the game NIST had every right to be confident with a good sporting pedigree in Basketball. But Prep U15’s were quietly confident that they come away from the game with something. From the start Prep worked hard on defence and attack and were by far the most clinical they have been this term. This produced a fantastic 62 – 32 victory over NIST.
