ANZAC Day 2022 – HELLFIRE PASS BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Whole School April 27, 2022 ANZAC Day is an important date on the Australian and New Zealand calendar, it is also a day that is important to Thailand and other SE Asian nations for the sacrifices those two countries made for the region. This past ANZAC Day (April 25th) our Primary Swim Teacher, Matt Ferrier and his son James, who is in Year 1, travelled to Hellfire Pass with the Australian Chamber of Commerce to remember and commemorate the sacrifices the generations before us made so that we could enjoy the privileges we have today. James’ Great Grandfather was a POW on the Hellfire Pass, and both James and Mr. Ferrier enjoyed their first ANZAC Day dawn service together on Monday 25th April, while being in the same place that their family served.
