AS Course Biology Class Learn the Different Structures of a Mammalian Heart Academic, BKK Prep, News, Secondary September 18, 2020 As part of the AS course, our Year 12’s need to be able to identify the different structures of a mammalian heart and describe the route of blood through the heart and circulatory system. Here they are, dissecting animal hearts and labelling the chambers, vessels and valves that they recognise, as well as making comparisons between the different tissues. This is a great opportunity for students to explore the connections between the blood vessels and the chambers of the heart, to help understand how it works as a three-dimensional pump.
