Bangkok Prep Student Leaders Need Your Donations!

**Global Social Leaders Project Update 19th March 2021**

This years’ GSL project leaders are making huge progress in their efforts to address Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Group members Song, Brin, Malissa, Jarja, Pam N, Hunter and Lily, all in Y12, are now looking for help from members of the school community. Please read their message below, and please consider donating if you can!

As we expand our operations, we would like to ask for donations to support GenSTEM, an organization aimed to widen access to quality STEM education in disadvantaged communities. Your donations will bring us closer to our goal of 40,000 Baht to build and send out the ‘STEMBOX’ to over 1800 students from 20 different schools. Sent to all four regions of Thailand, the ‘STEMBOX’ consists of textbooks, worksheets, and science experiment kits (one of which is a solar cell kit). The ‘STEMBOX’ will encourage exploration of STEM beyond the classroom through enriching activities, promoting independent learning and bringing opportunities for increased access to the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The donations can be sent through to the SCB account 430-084491-2 under the name ‘Malissa Saengtubtim’ and ‘Theerada Chevaphatrakul’. We will be grateful for your contributions and are happy to acknowledge your donations on our website (unless you prefer otherwise). Dear Parents and Guardians of Bangkok Prep,

I am writing on the behalf of GenStem, an organisation which aims to widen access to quality STEM education in disadvantaged communities. Prior to the second wave of Covid-19 in Thailand, we ran monthly workshops for children in the Khlong Toei Slum and various parts of Greater Bangkok. However, as the safety of the children we work with is our first priority, we are currently unable to provide face to face workshops.
