Biology Challenge Competition Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary June 8, 2023 This month, 34 of our students across Y9 and 10 joined over 43,600 13-15 year olds from 621 schools worldwide to take part in this year’s Biology Challenge Competition. The Biology challenge includes questions on topics from the school curriculum but also recognizes and rewards those who have expanded their understanding of the subject through activities such as reading books and magazines, watching natural history programs and staying informed about biological news in the media. We had yet another successful year, with our students being rewarded 5 Gold Awards, 4 Silver Awards, 7 Bronze Awards, 4 Highly Commended, 6 Commended and 8 Participation Awards. Each student who participates also receives a complimentary one-year BioNet membership, granting them access to electronic subscriptions of The Biologist magazine and e-newsletters containing updates on bioscience-related news and events, so they can continue to expand their understanding of the natural world around them. We now look forward to the Biology Intermediate Olympiad for our Y12 students on the 14th June and will share the results with you soon, so watch this space!
