Book Week 2024 - Bangkok Prep

Book Week 2024

Primary Book Week 2024

What a fantastic Book Week it was at Primary this year!

There were so many activities such as ‘Get Caught Reading’, special guest readers and everybody’s favourite…..the Bangkok Prep dress up Book Parade brought the week to a close on Friday 8th March.

We were also lucky enough to be able to invite children’s author Janice Santikarn to the school to work with the children in a series of workshops. Janice is a well-known children’s author who is based in Bangkok. If you haven’t read any of her work, we have some in the school library!

Thank you to everyone involved in setting up such an action packed week and we hope you all had fun (and more important, read lots of amazing books!)

Secondary Book Week 2024

What a busy and fun week Book Week has been this year. Students have participated in a whole host of reading inspired events to celebrate the joy of reading. At breaktime, during Book Week, students have enjoyed watching their teachers dress up as characters from famous books as part of the Living Window Display in the Library.  Lunchtimes have been filled with book inspired word games, art and treasure hunts. Students have been read to by teachers in the library and at points throughout the week have had to either drop a ball, switch off a bunsen burner or put their calculator down for ‘Drop Everything and Read’. A final and very exciting part of Book Week was the launch of our new reading initiative, ‘Bangkok Prep’s Chapter Chasers: The T77 Challenge’. After Songkran, students can participate in this whole school challenge to read 77 books from Y7 to Y13.
