Elizabeth O’Sullivan – Secondary Book Week Guest Author BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary March 15, 2019 Some of you will remember Elizabeth O’Sullivan as one of Bangkok Prep’s very own teachers. Since leaving this academic year, she has gone on to write her first novel and it was an absolute delight to welcome her back in her new prestigious position as our Guest Author. It may have been a while since Elizabeth’s last stage appearance, but Book Week got off to a flying start with a highly-inspirational assembly which introduced fantastic ideas to help with creative writing for our KS3 students. There was also a creative writing competition, although at the time of writing the winners have not yet received their prize, so please check back in next week’s edition of the Weekly Roundup. The prizes will be handed out in our final Quiz on Friday… This was followed by two Poetry Workshops where students focused on creative flair yet again to develop their inner poet, which was met with much excitement and enthusiasm from all involved. From visual to figurative, students were able to develop a variety of poems in a fun and highly-challenging space. We very much enjoyed welcoming Elizabeth O’Sullivan back to Bangkok Prep, and we hope the fame and fortune that awaits her will see her back here again in the future.
