Head Student Hustings

On Monday 12th June our six shortlisted candidates took to the stage to present their case to be the next Head Boy and Girl of Bangkok Prep. It was a packed out Auditorium in anticipation of hearing what our candidates will bring to the community. All six candidates spoke eloquently with passion and clarity on their vision for moving the school forward.

All of this week our six candidates will be visiting tutor groups, posting on social media and drumming up as much support as possible to become the next Head Students. Voting for our students and staff opens on Friday 16th June and closes on Monday 19th June. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 20th June and the chosen candidates will be notified shortly after with the Head Boy and Girl being revealed to the community before the last day of School.

Below are the six candidates with our two hosts after Monday’s inspirational, thought provoking and ultimately impressive Husting’s assembly.

A special note should go to Mrs. Dixon for organising the assembly and our two Year 10 hosts, Alexia (10JP) and Jooeun (10PS) who were exceptional in their calm and thoughtful hosting of the event. The event also provided an opportunity to outline our plans for improving student leadership at Bangkok Prep. The three main themes were providing more leadership training opportunities, creating more leadership opportunities for our KS3 students and linking our student leadership projects to our school development plans.
