Higher Education Updates – 17.03.2023 Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary March 17, 2023 University Visits This week, The Bangkok Prep Higher Education Office is proud to have hosted the University of Sheffield, University of Bath, University of York, University of Calgary, and University of Nottingham on our campus to speak with students and answer their questions at their respective booths. The event provided students with an opportunity to learn about different aspects of university life, including academics, student life, diversity, international students, and scholarships. The representatives from each university spoke about the different programs and majors offered, as well as the various clubs and organisations available to students. They also shared information about the campus culture and the types of students who thrive at their universities. Students were able to ask questions about the admissions process, financial aid, and scholarships. They were also able to learn about the different resources available to students, such as tutoring services and academic support. The representatives also provided information about the different resources and support available to international students. They also shared information about the different opportunities for international students to get involved on campus, such as international student clubs and organisations. Scholarships and financial aid were also discussed, with the representatives providing information about the different types of scholarships and financial aid available to students. They emphasised the importance of applying for scholarships and financial aid early, as these opportunities can greatly help students manage the costs of attending university. In general, the university visit was a valuable experience for both students and representatives. Students were able to learn about different universities and ask questions directly to representatives, while representatives were able to share information about their universities and engage with prospective students. The event was a great way to help students make informed decisions about their future and to ensure that they are well-prepared for the university application process. SHL Hospitality Summer Academy The SHL Hospitality Summer Academy is an educational, hands-on and fun one-week programme here at SHL in Lucerne, aimed at 15-18 year-olds. Students gain a short, but extensive glimpse into the hospitality industry, learn more about hospitality careers, discover our region and meet lots of great people.
