Higher Education Updates – 18th March 2022 Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary March 18, 2022 This week, the Higher Education Office conducted an introduction session to Studying in Other Asian countries. This is the last session of the series for the year. During the session, we discussed the intricacies of applying to various universities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Korea. On top of that, we also reviewed strategies to navigate through life in various Asian countries as an undergraduate. On top of that, we also discussed the prospects of Asia’s growing economy and debated the benefits of studying in the highly competitive and selective universities in the region. To complement the introduction session, throughout the rest of the week, students also interacted with university representatives through the Virtual University Talk sessions held after school. This provided students the opportunity to introduce themselves to the university representatives while discussing the possibilities of studying in their institutions. Students were also able to discuss the best approach to submitting a competitive application. Some of the prestigious universities that met with our students include: Singapore Management University Singapore Institute of Management Ritsumeikan University Nagoya University of Commerce and Business Hong Kong University of Science & Technology The City University of Hong Kong New York University Shanghai We were also delighted to have Ms. Eleanor Garrick from Durham University to meet with some of our students.
