Higher Education Updates – 2nd June 2023 Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary June 1, 2023 Summer School for Women in Maths at St John’s College, University of Cambridge Applications accepted until 5th June This is a week-long residential course (13th – 19th August 2023) and all participants will have their accommodation and meals offered free of charge by the College. The course is open to female and non-binary students in Year 12 or equivalent who are on track to meet our Maths course entry requirement, that is predicted A* in Maths and Further Maths A Levels, or equivalent grades and qualifications for students who do not take A Levels. Participants will enjoy a rich programme of opportunities and sessions: Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP) workshops and taster lectures delivered by Cambridge academics and guest speakers as well as challenging mathematical problems to work on throughout the week, and guided group research projects and social activities led by current St John’s students. There are places available for UK, EU, and International students. Applicants need to have a supporting teacher’s reference. The closing date for applications is 4 pm (UK time) on Monday 5th June 2023.
