IGCSE Business Studies Student Workshop BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary February 26, 2020 Dear Parents and Guardians, The Humanities faculty at Bangkok Prep were delighted to host an IGCSE Business Studies student workshop led by Time2Resources on Monday 24th February. This followed on from the very successful workshops attended by our Sixth Form students in December. Time2Resources are a UK based, leading provider of student conferences and producer of resources and study materials for a range of examination boards. Our workshop leaders, Helen Coupland-Smith and Carlo Mencattelli have worked for all the major examination boards and both are well respected authors. The workshops delivered expert tips for effective revision, how to fully analyse a case study, developing understanding of key concepts and how to use these in responses and that all-important examination technique. Each question type across the two papers was explored fully with specific examples given and explicitly explained through worked examples and purposeful practice. The workshops were hands on with Helen and Carlo live marking student work, offering personalised feedback with a clear emphasis on enhancing the students’ examination performance and real world understanding of Business. As promised the workshop was an excellent opportunity for our Business Studies students to focus on their preparation for examinations well in advance. Helen and Carlo also commented on the excellent work ethic and behaviour of our students who were an absolute credit to themselves. A huge thank you to our events team for helping set up the space, marketing for your promotional support, teachers for allowing the Business students to attend the workshop, management for your support, Helen and Carlo for a wonderful workshop and finally parents and guardians for allowing your sons and daughters to attend.
