International Award Silver Adventurous Journey – Stand Up Paddle Boarding

For five glorious days in December, nine Year 12 students paddled their way down the beautiful rivers of Kanchanaburi Province. Cumulatively, over the course of the week, they stand-up paddle boarded over 160 km of water; an impressive feat. This journey fulfilled their final requirement of their Silver International Award, a program designed to challenge and engage students in pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones. As part of the journey, they had to cook their own meals on camp stoves, set up tents and safely navigate themselves along the river. The students demonstrated fantastic leadership, resilience, communication and teamwork.
