Jason Beilby – Meet our Staff BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Whole School November 12, 2019 Jason Beilby joined Bangkok Prep as our school’s new Communications & Development Supervisor shortly before the start of this 2019-2020 academic year. Jason has solid credentials having worked previously in Business Development and Sales and Marketing, and brings experience as well as a strong educational background – he was educated from school up to Master’s degree level in the UK. He is engaged with planning and executing Bangkok Prep’s marketing activities and to develop and deliver the school marketing strategy to all stakeholders within the school and the wider community. His tasks include working on our social media channels and website, and also making sure we are featured in various high-ranking publications. What are your marketing objectives for this academic year? Bangkok Prep is doing a remarkable job of leading the way in sustainability. Part of my role is to ensure the essential work that everyone at our school is doing is well publicised. Our marketing department has recently launched the “Sustainability @ Bangkok Prep” section of our webpage (please take a look here: https://www.bangkokprep.ac.th/sustainability-bangkok-prep/) which clearly outlines the extensive scope of environmentally friendly work that we are doing as a school community, from our solar panels and organic farm at our Secondary T77 campus to our receipt of the highest Eco-Schools award: The Green Flag, to our carefully planned recycling and green initiatives. I plan to make sure that people know about the excellent progress that Bangkok Prep continues to enjoy. What do you enjoy the most about your job? Many things! One of them is that the values of the school are values which I also share personally. For example, the Forest School Initiative which Bangkok Prep is strongly involved in is something which I really enjoy covering, as sustainability and being a responsible citizen of our planet is something which personally I am extremely passionate about. It is a true honour to work for Bangkok Prep alongside such dedicated staff who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything runs smoothly. What is a typical working day like for you? I normally begin the day by checking my schedule for the day ahead, which I usually prepare and go over the day before. I will then check my emails and action those for immediate response and flag others to follow up later in the day. I make sure to spend time reading and understanding the reasons behind each Bangkok Prep marketing campaign and the core message which we need to communicate. Currently, I am spending time liaising with carefully selected suppliers/sponsors and planning our Green Winter Fair which will be held on Saturday 7 December 2019 at our Primary Campus, and which will follow a sustainable and eco-friendly theme – fitting in perfectly with Bangkok Prep values!
