KS2 Sports Day 2019 BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Secondary, Sport, Whole School December 11, 2019 Our entire KS2 participated in Sports Day on Wednesday 4th December, taking over the field of our T77 Secondary campus. All students participated in the four field events; Javelin (Y3-6), Shot Put (Y3-6), Standing Triple Jump (Y5&6) or 3-Springs Jump (Y3&4) and Discus (Y5&6) or Quoit Throw (Y3&4). All students took part in at least one sprint 60m or 100m, and for those students who enjoy long distance endurance events they were able to run in the 600m (Y3&4) or 800m (Y5&6). Every child took part in the Shuttle Relay at the end of the day, eagerly racing against their parents and family members. Students deserved their participation ribbons and enjoyed a well-deserved ice lolly treat at the end of the day from our FOBP. Our 1st-3rd place winners earned their spot on the podium and received a well-deserved medal as they proved to be the best in their year group in that track or field event. Well done to all the children for your efforts on the day. We had some really fast races; track records were broken. The field athletes did fabulous too; with a good number of new school records. Our 21 Year 9 student helpers were an integral part of the day and were a credit to Bangkok Prep, they were an excellent example of student leadership. Our teachers, TA’s, events team, maintenance crew and PE department worked tirelessly before, on and after the day to make sure all the children had a fabulous time ensuring everything ran smoothly. It was a fantastic day and wonderful to see so many happy faces. Thank you to all the parents and family members who attended and cheered on the children, it was lovely to see so many of you at T77. Well done to our KS2 ‘Elephants’ for winning this year’s Sports Day! Photos will be posted on the PE – Curriculum Events – KS2 Sports Day Firefly page soon, the link will be re-emailed directly to parents as soon as photos have been uploaded; along with this year’s school record winners.
