Lottie and Lucy Brave the 2019-20 Australian Summer Surf Saving Nippers Program BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Secondary, Sport, Whole School January 9, 2020 Congratulations to Lottie (7SR) and Lucy (4SC) Langdon who recently competed in the 2019/2020 Australian Summer Surf Saving Nippers Program. The girls trained and competed in several beach events across the two weeks of the competitive Nippers program at their local surf life-saving club – Lorne in Victoria, Australia. The events included surfing, long and short distance beach running and open water ocean swimming, in addition to training in CPR and beach safety. Both Lottie and Lucy competed in the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club Junior Championships on Saturday 4 January and Sunday 5 January. Lucy had a great season competing in all events across the U9 Girls category. Lottie also competed in all events and won the Club Championships for the U12 Girls Open Water Ocean Swim. The Swim was competed in extremely chilly and windy weather conditions which created a highly challenging ocean environment. Lottie has participated in Nippers for the past 6 years and this was Lucy’s second year in the program. Their elder sister Bella has graduated from the Nippers program and is looking forward to commencing junior beach patrol and the Bronze Medallion Level of Australian Surf Life Saving.
