Loy Krathong (the Goddess of Water) BKK Prep, Early Years, Event, News, Primary November 26, 2021 This Siam celebration day is very special to swim teachers and coaches in the Kingdom of Thailand each year, and this year it has been extra special. Bangkok Prep Primary campus has just completed the first week of swimming lessons since March, some 8 months ago. It has been quite ironic that the first lessons fell in the same week as the traditional Thai celebration of Loy Krathong (the Goddess of Water). The joy and exuberance of the students recommencing their education in this lifelong skill has been infectious and most wonderfully, the retention of skills pleasingly present. The swim teaching community of Bangkok Prep are delighted to be back on track with the subject that will save a child’s life.
