I have been teaching children and young people for over 30 years now. I genuinely feel it is a real privilege to work with children and students of all ages, but my passion has always been within the Early Years. To be able to support young children with the early transitions into school is a huge responsibility, and these initial experiences are crucial if children are to feel loved, safe and prepared to move on to become confident and curious explorers of their environment. To see our very youngest learners do this is all the reward that’s needed. What is your aim for this academic year at school? I am very fortunate to be working within an exceptional Early Years team this year where I know I will continue to learn and develop my own practice. I will be aiming to support the team so that we can continue to develop our provision and skills in order to provide our children with the learning environment and experience that they individually need and deserve. What is your favourite thing about Bangkok Prep? The first thing that struck me about Bangkok Prep was its’ friendliness, both of the staff and the families who attend. The school also has a strong community focus which is embedded securely into the whole school philosophy. The needs of the students are at the forefront of any decisions that are made and the strong relationship that the school has with its parents is really impressive. I am looking forward to contributing to this as the academic year progresses. Bangkok Prep Teaching News – Issue 2 Welcome to the second issue of Prep Teaching News.
