Maths Workshops for Parents

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to announce that, during this term, we will be hosting some maths workshops for parents. The aim of these workshops is to provide an insight into the mastery approach to maths, which is followed here at Bangkok Prep, and to pass on some useful tips for you to use at home with your children. The workshops will comprise of: an introduction to the mastery approach, some practical activities for you to try – involving the 4-operations – and some taster lessons (demonstrating the mastery approach) delivered by some of our own teachers.

The workshops will take place during the following dates and times:

• KS1 (Years 1 and 2) – Tuesday January 22nd from 14:30 to 15:30 in room 215 (multi-purpose room on second floor)
• Lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4) – Tuesday January 29th from 14:30 to 15:30 in room 215 (multi-purpose room on second floor)
• EYFS (Nursery and Reception) – Monday February 4th from 13:00 to 14:00 in room 215 (multi-purpose room on second floor)
• Upper KS2 (Years 5 and 6) – Tuesday February 5th from 14:30 to 15:30 in room 215 (multi-purpose room on second floor)

*All sessions should take no more than an hour.

Please note, if you are unable to attend any of the sessions then not to worry. All information based resources will be shared, and recommended to all parents, via firefly.
