Meet the New University Guidance Counsellors Academic, BKK Prep, News, Secondary August 25, 2023 This academic year we welcome two new university guidance counsellors to the higher education office, joining our current team, Mr. Ilyas Hasshim (Head of Higher Education), Ms. Porjai “June” Klinsrisuk (University Guidance Counsellor Thailand), and Ms. Kanthanut “Nut” Siripatta (University Guidance Counsellor Thailand). Hello! My name is Dr. Jessica Vechbanyongratana (students can call me Dr. V.) and I have joined the higher education team as a university guidance counsellor. I come to Bangkok Prep with almost 20 years of experience working in higher education. Most recently I was an associate professor of economics at Chulalongkorn University. I taught and advised bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. students in both Thai and international programs for over 13 years. Prior to working at Chulalongkorn University, I worked in higher education administration, including admissions, at several institutions in the United States. I am excited to work with students and parents in the Bangkok Prep community on finding the right next step after graduation. This year I will work with students in 13JH, 13PK, 12JW, and 12SR. My name is Ms. Elizabeth Witbeck and I am excited to join Bangkok Prep as a University Guidance Counsellor. I am from New York. I have worked as a university guidance counsellor for 13 years. I have worked as an education agent and independent consultant, helping students individually on their university applications. I have helped my students get into universities all over the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and more. Beyond university counselling, I have also worked for major companies such as Microsoft and Duolingo. I received my degrees in Education Leadership and Administration and School Counselling from New York University and CalPoly.
