Message from Head of school  – Friday 11th December

Dear Parents and Students

We are coming to the end of 2020 and I am sure that we will all remember this year as, the moment in history, when the world was confronted with the challenges of the COVID 19 Pandemic. Personally, I believe we can be much more optimistic about 2021. Now it seems that there are many vaccines that have become available following the miraculous effort from our doctors, nurses and scientists. I understand that this should protect us from the scourge of this virus. If this is the case then we can, hopefully, expect a relaxing of the preventative measures and an increase in the possibility of international travel.

Travel safely and take care of yourself

I am sure that many members of our community will be travelling around Thailand during the break and I urge everyone to keep yourself updated on the news with regards to COVID cases and possible political protest gatherings. The roads in Thailand can be very dangerous so please make sure you are travelling safely i.e. wear helmets, seatbelts and slow speeds. It is essential we all remain safe and healthy.

We must keep up our guard!!

Recently, there have been some more reports of local and imported cases of COVID infections in Thailand. If any member of the Bangkok Prep community has symptoms of COVID-19, then they must stay at home and seek medical advice. Please remember to wear a mask, wash hands, check temperature regularly and stay away from potential high risk infection areas. We must continue to ‘keep up our guard’. A few days before the school re opens, on Monday 4th January 2021, Bangkok Prep will issue a COVID Prevention self-declaration form and it is imperative that all families and visitors complete this form.

We should all be very proud of the extraordinary effort and support that the Bangkok Prep community has invested during these very difficult times. I would like to thank every single student, parent and staff member for your part in ensuring our school continues to be an outstanding learning community.

Please have a very safe, relaxing, healthy and festive holiday. I look forward to seeing you all safely back at school on Monday 4th January 2021.

Festive regards,
