MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL –25TH JANUARY 2019 BKK Prep, Message from the Head of School, News, Whole School January 25, 2019 Dear Parents, ‘To be an outstanding learning community that is internationally-minded, inspiring all members to achieve their potential.’ Our vision relies heavily on parental support and this is essential if we are to be an outstanding learning community. As a fellow parent, I recognise the daily challenges that mothers and fathers face. Our role can often include being a taxi service, laundry shop, entertainer, councillor, friend, doctor, comedian, police officer and restaurant waiter. On a busy day, we may need to take on all of these roles in quick succession. As a school, we also encourage parents to be a teacher and be fully involved in our learning community. This year we have increased the number of parent workshops and information sessions to allow you to be even more involved in our learning community. It is very important that your children see you being actively involved in their learning journey. It is also vital that you discuss your children’s education and schooling in an optimistic and positive light. I would like to take this opportunity to share our appreciation of the amazing work and dedication that the members of the FOBP Committee have undertaken since the establishment of our school. The committee consists of a dedicated group of parents that have volunteered to coordinate and arrange events which generate funds for school charities. The funds that the FOBP have generated have also been used as donations to the school and this has resulted in the acquisition of many major items; such as the electronic scoreboard in the Sports Hall, sofas in the Sixth Form area, EYFS sensory garden and many more generous purchases. On behalf of the school and the board, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to this group of committed parents and long may this essential and trusting relationship continue.
