MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL: 3RD MAY 2019 BKK Prep, Message from the Head of School May 3, 2019 School Closure On behalf of the school, I would like to offer our esteem respect to his majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, for his forthcoming coronation. I would like to respectfully remind parents that the school will be closed on Monday 6th May and will reopen as usual on Tuesday 7th May. Dear Parents and Students, Term 3 continues to be very busy and the weather is getting slightly hotter. I am sure that you will join with me in wishing that the rain will come soon and cool us all down. As always, the final term of the academic year will continue to be very busy and our children will be taking part in a wide range of exciting learning experiences such as the colourful Joseph production, tuk tuk rides in the school car park, music recitals, science week, Primary and Secondary Graduation ceremonies and the list goes on … Obviously, like all academic schools, the older students will be taking exams and completing course work. Your understanding of the processes which your children are involved in, when they learn at school, is essential and to support this we have organised a wide range of parent workshops and information sessions. Please look out for the news and social media messages for more details about dates and times of these events. FOBP Extraordinary General Meeting I would like to remind you all that there will be an Extraordinary General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday 15th May at the Primary Auditorium at 8.15 am. Any Parent or Guardian with a child/children attending Bangkok Prep School is invited to this very important meeting. The school will provide refreshments and the current FOBP will chair the meeting. During this meeting there will be: A presentation of the FOBP Constitution An explanation of the committee structure The presentation of the FOBP current accounts The nomination of NEW FOBP Committee An explanation of the new communication system and guidelines This is a very important meeting for the whole school community and I encourage you all to attend. However, this does not mean that you have to attend all FOBP Meetings in the future. Any parent who wants to be a member of the Committee can nominate themselves. If you wish to be part of the new FOBP committee, please send an email to fobp.bkkprep@gmail.com. Parent Survey I hope that you have all found some time to complete this Parent Survey and there is still time as the deadline is midnight on Friday 3rd May. We genuinely value all of your opinions and we welcome some ideas that you may have about the future direction of our school. Please click here to complete Parent Survey form.
