MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL: Urgent Notification – COVID-19 Expected School Closure 16.03.2020 BKK Prep, Message from the Head of School, News, Primary, Secondary, Whole School March 16, 2020 Monday 16th March 2020 Dear Parent or Guardian Re: Urgent Notification – COVID-19 Expected School Closure This afternoon, the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand has announced that schools and universities must close to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Thailand. We expect the closure will initially last for 15 days and it will most likely begin on Wednesday 18th March 2020. We believe that the Thai Government will review the closure of schools and universities every 15 days. Our primary concern is to protect our community and Bangkok Prep will, therefore, follow the directives of the Thai Government. During this period of closure, the teachers will provide all students with online lessons. To confirm, Bangkok Prep will still be open tomorrow. Please see more information about our Online Learning procedures here: MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL: Home Learning and Innovative Online Learning We will face some difficult times over the next few months and we must do our very best to follow advice from medical experts and stay healthy. Following tomorrow’s Government Cabinet meeting, I will update you by SMS, Social media and email.
