MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SECONDARY – 22ND MARCH 2019 BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary March 22, 2019 Dear Students, Parents and Colleagues, Last weekend started with a very successful KS3/10 Social at the Marriott. Over 100 students enjoyed themselves due to the organisation and commitment of the Student Action Team, our IGCSE Photography students also offered their services as photographers. I am sure students will enjoy the photos they have prepared and distributed. We then had success on the climbing wall in KL at the FOBISIA Climbing competition and also at the U13 Games in Phuket. Please have a look at our social media feeds, and in this Weekly Roundup, for more details. This weekend is just as busy as we host the FOBISIA Environmental conference at S53, Many students are then off to the World Scholars Cup, FOBISIA Maths (KL) and the sailing down at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club. Next Tuesday Mrs Allen and I will be presenting a workshop on “How can I get my child into the university of their choice?”. One question we will be asking: how has your child taken advantage of all the opportunities available to them at their school? Universities want able students but they also want young people who will take part and add to their communities. We have currently released the Term 3 ECA Programme and the plethora of activities available to students should not be taken lightly. Our students have multiple ways of getting involved and being part of something. If you haven’t already done so please email Khun Mod to reserve a seat for Tuesday’s Parent Workshop: “How can I get my child into the University of their Choice?” we look forward to seeing you there. Have a great weekend, whether you are; getting wet sailing, problem solving at WSC, doing algebra in KL, teeing up or diving in for BISAC, saving the environment or finishing your ‘art’ portfolios. If you look around you, I guarantee you’ll see one of our dedicated teachers giving support and encouragement.
