Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet to visit Bangkok Prep!

On Friday 4th December all students in Years 1 – 6 will have the immense privilege of hearing live in a series of concert sessions a special performance by the finest woodwind ensemble in Thailand the Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet. Founded in 2008 Sawasdee has given performances throughout Thailand – from local community to the most prestigious venues. In 2014, Sawasdee made its international debut in Macau at the 15th Macau Band Fair and in Singapore where the ensemble was the finalist of Singapore Woodwind Festival Competition 2014. Sawasdee was invited to perform the Thailand premiere of Tania León’s De Memorias at Thailand International Composition Festival in 2015. Next week the students will hear the ensemble perform Prokofiev’s masterpiece Peter and the Wolf as well as a few other short pieces. I am thrilled to provide this opportunity for our students – the show will no doubt be fabulous!
