Rishabh and Zaizai UKMT Senior Mathematics Challenge Success Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary December 4, 2020 22 students across Years 11, 12 and 13 participated in the UKMT Senior Mathematics challenge last month. The Challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. It is a notoriously difficult challenge held worldwide. This year, the challenge was held online. To recognize the highest performers in the Challenge, only the top-scoring 40% of participants are awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1. Over 86% of Bangkok Prep participants received a Certificate including 3 Gold Certificates. This indicates how highly our Mathematicians have achieved. Pictured right is Zaizai 12AJ who achieved the Certificate for ‘Best in Year 12’. Well done also to Agrim 13MG who achieved Best in Year 13. Pictured left is Rishabh in Year 11 attained the ‘Best in School’ Certificate. This is an especially special achievement as this competition is designed exclusively for Year 12 and Year 13 students.
