Romeo and Juliet at the Alliance Francais BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary November 21, 2019 Y11 and a selection of KS5 students were lucky enough to visit the Alliance Francais in Bangkok to witness one of the greatest love stories ever told: Romeo and Juliet. From the opening prologue to inform us of the ‘star-crossed lovers’ sealed fate, the show was a memorable experience in which the play was brought to life with action, comedy and despair. Our students were exemplary in their behaviour and thoroughly enjoyed this rare opportunity bestowed upon them by the travelling theatre company TNT Britain and ADG Europe. Before leaving the cast were generous enough to offer a Q and A session, revealing some of the trade’s best kept secrets. I am confident this trip was enlightening and inspiring to our students, who now have the pleasure of completing their English Literature coursework truly understanding the magic of Shakespeare.
