Sandbox: Safety Zone in School Programme update BKK Prep, Event, Message from the Head of School, News, Primary, Secondary, Whole School October 20, 2021 Tuesday 19th October 2021 Dear Students, Parents and Guardians This afternoon, we have received final permission by the Health Office of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to re-open Bangkok Prep for our students from Tuesday 26th October 2021. We are all very excited and I am sure you agree that our children’s well-being, educational progress and social development is of paramount importance. We are really looking forward to offering lessons, on site again, for the remainder of Term 1, beginning on Tuesday 26th October. We recognise that some families may make the decision to initially keep their children at home so we will operate the planned hybrid learning models during the coming weeks. We have also organised a phased return so all students will not be at school on the same day. More specific details will be issued by the Primary and Secondary Leadership Teams tomorrow morning. Thank you to all the parents that have already completed this Returning to School registration form. If you have completed this form and answered ‘No’ or ‘Maybe’ but you are now comfortable with your child coming into school, then please follow the link to register. Again, we fully understand that some parents may be anxious about their children attending school and we are still able to offer learning from home experiences with the hybrid model. Our primary concern must be to continue to protect the health of our community, and Bangkok Prep will, therefore, be following the COVID preventative measures as directed by the Minister of Education. Although the situation in Thailand has continued to improve during recent weeks, we must not be complacent. We will still have to face some difficult times over the next few months and we must do our very best to follow advice from medical experts and stay healthy.
