Seasonal Message from the Head of School Academic, BKK Prep, Early Years, Event, Message from the Head of School, News, Primary, Secondary, Sport, Whole School December 16, 2021 Dear Parents and Students We are nearing the end of 2021 and the world continues to battle with the challenges of the COVID 19 Pandemic. Personally, I believe we can feel much more optimistic about 2022. So far we have only had a few positive cases of COVID in the Bangkok Prep community but none of them have resulted in further cases in our school. We will continue to do our very best to protect all members of our community and ensure that we all remain healthy. Thank you for your unwavering support and ensuring Bangkok Prep remains a safe place for our staff and students. We must, of course, continue to keep up our guard and ensure we all remain as safe as possible. During the break, there is no need to complete the daily Thai Save Thai Self declaration and the ATK (Twice per week) unless you are actually attending on campus events during the holiday period. However, all students (and staff) MUST complete the ATK and Thai Save Thai Self declaration on Sunday 9th January 2022 before 6pm. A valid SCHOOL PASS will need to be produced on entry to enable access to each campus on the first morning of Term 2. We will also adjust some of the procedures which will allow all students to attend lessons on campus. We will no longer be utilising the hybrid model and we will return to traditional learning sessions. However, there will still be a variety of online learning activities available to students that are not able to be in Bangkok in Term 2. I know that many people will be travelling during the festive holiday and I expect that this will be a very welcomed opportunity to spend some quality time with your family. I hope that we all find some time to reflect upon what is truly important and consider how fortunate many of us have been during these extremely difficult times. The value of the month for December is Caring and during this festive time we should seek out opportunities to express our gratitude to others and show people that we truly care. Mother Teresa famously said that, “Love begins by taking care of the closest ones – the ones at home.” I look forward to seeing you all safely back at school on Monday 10th January 2022. We should all be very proud of the remarkable effort and commitment that the Bangkok Prep community has demonstrated during these difficult times. I would like to thank every single one of you for your part in ensuring our school continues to be an outstanding learning community.
