Shalini Malhotra – Meet the Staff

Bangkok Prep is pleased to welcome our new Alumni Relations Officer – Shalini (Sharon) Malhotra – who has recently started in this newly created job position. We are proud to welcome her back to our school – Sharon is already one of our community as a distinguished Bangkok Prep Class of 2015 graduate! Sharon was a student here for 10 years, graduating in 2015 as part of the 4^th graduating class of our school.

After leaving Bangkok Prep, Sharon went on to study a BBA in International Business at Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) where she graduated with second class honours. Sharon has attended overseas programmes at the prestigious London School of Economics (UK), Boston University (USA) and Deakin University (Australia). This level of intercultural awareness makes her a valuable addition to the Bangkok Prep team, and her background ties in with our vision to be an outstanding community that is internationally-minded.

Sharon’s responsibilities as Bangkok Prep’s first Alumni Relations Officer include establishing and strengthening our alumni network, organising inspirational talks to our current students, planning our reunion events and much more!

What are your aims for this academic year?

My aim is to successfully aid the launch of the Bangkok Prep Alumni community and build a long-lasting relationship between students and the school, and to make Bangkok Prep Alumni feel proud that they attended school here.

What inspired you to apply for this job?

As someone passionate in marketing and communications, I knew that Alumni Relations would allow me to integrate both of these things together and let me channel my creativity into developing the Bangkok Prep Alumni community.

What do you enjoy about working at Bangkok Prep?

I was studying at Bangkok Prep for 10 years, so even though it is different coming back here as a working woman and not as a student, it still feels like home to me.
