Sixth Form Transition Event Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary June 24, 2022 On Monday and Tuesday, Year 11 students and our new admissions joining Year 12 in August participated in an induction to Sixth Form event. Students completed a range of activities, including Being Successful in Sixth Form with Ms Waszczylko and An Introduction to Futures and Higher Education with Ms Cantrill. Students also attended introduction sessions to their chosen A-Level subjects where they learned some valued A-Level study skills and became more familiar with the course content and assessment objectives. In addition to this, students joined a team-building session led by our Alumni and former Head Boy Marco, and current Year 13 students: our Head Girl Song, and Student Leaders Kashika and Yena. Students also attended An Introduction to Community Service with Ms Rice and, finally, were inspired by listening to an Alumni and Year 12 and 13 Panel of Experts. Here, our panel reflected on their time in the Sixth Form, the transition from Year 11 and the trials and tribulations of university applications. Their advice was invaluable and will no doubt be reassuring to our incoming class of 2024! It was great to see Year 11 so engaged in all of these activities; we are very excited for them to join us in August!
