Our U9 boys, U11 boys and U13 girls football teams took part in the 17th Annual BISP Soccer 7s tournament on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November in Phuket. This is one of the largest International Schools Football Tournament of its kind with over 1,500 competitors taking part from 41 different International Schools.

Our teams travelled to Phuket on Thursday, ready to start their games early Friday morning and ended their group round robin play Saturday morning. Depending on how they did in their groups would determine whether they made it through to play off in the Bowl or Plate championship.

Our U9 boys played 3 group games and made it through to the Plate final – we narrowly lost in the final – the boys did a great job in their first international tournament. Our U11 boys played 4 group games to progress to the final in the Bowl – the boys won the Bowl tournament with a fantastic 5-0 win. Our U13 girls played 6 group games, the girls played admirably in their games – we didn’t make it to a final playoff but enjoyed the tournament nonetheless.

Our football bulldogs made their parents and coaches very proud with how well they battled the heat, faced some challenging play throughout the weekend and how much they developed as a team during the tournament.

This pre-season football tournament is an excellent warm up ready for their TISAC and BISAC football season in Term 2. Well done bulldogs!!
