The Head of Primary writes… BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary October 30, 2019 Dear all, I hope you all enjoyed a fantastic half term break, I just wanted to let everyone know that this Year’s Student Council and our Head Boy and Head Girl have recently been elected. The successful candidates all wrote a letter of application, wrote and applied amazing speeches in our Key Stage 2 Assembly, were interviewed by our newly appointed Student Council and had a final interview with the Head of Primary. On top of that, everyone in Key Stage 2 had the opportunity to contribute to the popular vote by using this year’s ballot box. The Student Council were once again voted in by their peers from their own class. This Year Key Stage 2 councilors will meet with me once a week and they will set their own agenda. Key Stage 1 councilors will be met at a predetermined time to be set by our Year 6 councilors and our Head Boy and Head Girl once their elections have been finalised. Now we are looking forward to Internationally Minded Week which begins on Monday 11 November with a Remembrance Assembly. To conclude this week, we will have a National parade and a farmers market. This year’s activities have been organised by an impressive selection of staff who volunteered to create a working party for this special occasion. Thank you and well done! Finally, a few reminders for parents not to take photographs of other children except their own and to wear your ID at all times. Please do not forget that children are not expected on site until 07:30 where supervision begins in the undercroft and please remember that those of you who are late picking up your children, the Late Zone is situated in the Early Years Cafeteria. Have a great weekend everyone.
