UKMT Maths Challenge Success Academic, BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary March 12, 2021 In early February 86 students across years 9, 10 and 11 took part in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge. This was the biggest number of participants Bangkok Prep has ever had for a UKMT challenge. The students were eager to test themselves with complex mathematical problems and try to earn a certificate. Bangkok Prep achieved 16 Gold Certificates, 9 Silver and 13 Bronze Certificates. Pictured below is Rishabh 11PG, Jihyo 10TD and Atty 9WJ who each achieved Best in Year Gold Certificates, each for the second year running in UKMT competitions. Atty achieved full marks in what was an incredible feat, particularly for a Year 9 student. Rishabh was one question away from achieving 100% in two consecutive years. Well done also to Petch 9ST, Ryutaro 9WJ, Takumi 9WJ and Harshit 9WJ who, along with Rishabh and Atty, have qualified for the next round of the competition, the Olympiad. We are truly blessed to have such strong Mathematicians in our school presently. Well done to all students who participated and took on the challenge.
