Under-15 Girls’ Football – Harrow Cup BKK Prep, Event, News, Secondary, Sport November 21, 2019 Under-15 Girls’ Football Harrow Cup 16 November 2019 TBC (To Be Confirmed) was the unfortunate theme of the Harrow Cup for the Under-15 Girls’ Football squad as matches were left at the mercy of cancellation due to non-attendance of other teams. However, Bangkok Prep players responded positively to face their first encounters of the season against some more experienced opposition. Pleasingly the quality of performances of individuals were on par with their counterparts. In defence, Ruby and Frances were highly focused and incredibly accurate in their challenges. Whereas Alma, Bani and Bella ensured dominant periods of possession from midfield. The narrow 1-0 losses to Hua Hin and Rugby only reflected the inexperience of the team as a whole with regard to match practice. In addition, Charlotte Stonehouse was incredibly unlucky to see her two well taken free kicks just skim over the crossbar. In the play-off for the Premier League finals place Bangkok Prep made an excellent come back from 2-0 down to ISB to control the possession confidently and finally score their first goal through the highly determined Kittu. Sadly the desire to press on for an equaliser left some holes at the back, with the inevitability of conceding two further strikes. Confirmation of the final game of the day was difficult to come by. Eventually a match was organised by the hosts but the opposition disappeared at half-time! This was a shame, as substitutes Tamana, Namping and Vivian were gelling perfectly alongside scorers Kamin and Alma, to lead the game 2-1, before it was abruptly and harshly halted. On a positive note the squad had clearly made great strides in their level of team work over the limited game time they had been afforded. Thankfully there are clearly wonderful things to come as the season moves forward. TBC (To Be Continued!)
