Wai Kru Celebrations BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Secondary, Whole School September 25, 2020 Wai Kru is a Thai teacher’s day. It is the day that students show respect towards teachers by wai-ing them and giving them a small flower garland to show gratitude and thanks for helping and supporting their learning. Our school usually sets this event up at the beginning of term, however, due to COVID measures the Thai Department were unable to hold their annual assemblies on both campuses this year. Instead, the Thai Department ran some traditional activities to remind students of the importance of this event. Below are two videos presenting the Wai Kru Celebration of primary and secondary. The videos gathered all the teachers, TAs and short video clips from students saying thank you to the teachers in different languages. Please watch the videos below to see our students enthusiastically making flower arrangements and presented them with cards to teachers in person along with the Wai Kru chant and speeches.
