Y12 Geography Fieldtrip to Rayong BKK Prep, News, Secondary February 8, 2019 Over the weekend of 25-26th January, Y12 Geographers spent the weekend completing their coastal fieldwork to prepare for their Geographical Investigation examination for AS Geography. Students carried out a range of human and physical fieldwork techniques in and around Rayong. They were investigating the social, economic and physical impacts of coastal defences. Students had worked hard to prepare in the classroom before completing their investigation, formulating their research questions and contextualising their study by researching other managed coastlines in Thailand. They planned and designed their own fieldwork thinking carefully about the best techniques to use to get the best results. Our students carried out their investigation independently, and worked really hard to ensure they collected the most accurate data. It was fantastic to see how hard they worked, and how maturely they conducted themselves whilst away on the trip. They should all be very proud of their efforts!
