Year 1 Trip to Christ Church BKK Prep, News, Primary December 13, 2019 Year 1 have been learning about ‘Festivities around the World’ where they have learned about different celebrations around the world including Diwali, Loy Krathong, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos and finally Christmas. On Wednesday, we visited Christ Church to learn about churches and historical buildings as well as how Christians celebrate Christmas. We had an interesting talk from Vicar Norman about the Christmas story and we asked lots of questions, which we have been practising in school. Vicar Norman showed us the features of the church including the stained glass windows, the altar and the lectern. We then drew pictures of the church and took photographs using the tablets. We had a picnic lunch and travelled back to school. What a wonderful first trip in Year 1. A big thank you to our parent volunteers who made this trip possible!
