Year 4 Residential 2019 BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary October 18, 2019 Year 4 had an action packed residential to Rayong and Chonburi. Our trip was full of learning opportunities; we visited an Aquarium to learn about life cycles, learned about Space, helped to release crabs as part of a Mangrove conservation project and boarded and explored the HTMS Prasae Battleship. On the first day we went to the Aquarium and Marine Science Museum. Here, the children took part in a number of activities, including learning about the marine organisms and studying their behaviour. They also learnt about jelly fish and had the opportunity to look through a microscope at different stages of a jelly fish life cycle. Following lunch we explored Mini Siam and The World. We saw famous structures from around the globe learning about the history and functions of different buildings and structures. During our second day The Golden Mangrove Forest where we hiked through along the water enjoying the beautiful mangrove landscape and the golden field which lights up in the sunshine. After we had lunch we boarded the battleship which was a real adventure. After an early start on the third day, we enjoyed a big breakfast and set off to the Space Inspirium (Modern Space Museum). We learnt all about Space, innovation and technology. We took part in a robot workshop and made our own working robots. We also spent time learning about space exploration and all about NASA before heading back to Bangkok Prep. The residential was a fantastic experience and the students were a credit to Bangkok Prep.
