Year 6 Transition Day BKK Prep, Event, News, Primary, Secondary February 13, 2020 On Wednesday, the Year 6 students took part in their first Transition Day at T77. This was a great opportunity for the students to start to get to know the campus, as well as meeting some of the teachers. After an introductory assembly, the students participated in some ‘taster’ lessons. This allowed the children to see the consistency across the two schools, as the lessons were focusing on the Year 6 Thematic topics for this term. In Science, the students watched, and had the chance to get hands on with a heart dissection. These experiences always bring learning to life and will provide a strong basis for our ‘Circuits’ unit which we will study after half term. In their History lesson, the pupils played a game designed to teach them about the Battle of the Atlantic- a key event in World War 2, which is our area of focus in our Government and Conflict Thematic Unit this term. The pupils also got to know the campus through a fun Scavenger Hunt – congratulations to 6KP who were the overall winners. Year 6 would like to say a big thank you to all the Secondary teachers involved in the day. It was a fantastic first experience of Secondary life and has got the pupils very excited about the move into Year 7.
