Year 6 Transition Day BKK Prep, News, Primary, Secondary, Whole School February 15, 2019 On Monday 11th February, the Year 6 students took part in their first Transition Day at T77. This was a great opportunity for the students to start to get to know the campus, as well as meeting some of the teachers. The day started with an introductory assembly, followed by a Scavenger Hunt around the Campus. Congratulations to Mishank, Hope, Eve, Vicky and Afia, who won challenge, aided by Barney from Year 7. The students then participated in some ‘taster’ lessons. This was a brilliant opportunity to see the consistency across the two campuses, as the lessons were focusing on the Year 6 Thematic topics for this term. In Science, the students watched, and had the chance to get hands on with a heart and lungs dissection. These experiences always bring learning to life and will provide a strong basis for our ‘Circuits’ unit which we will study after half term. In their history lesson, the pupils played a game designed to teach them about the Battle of the Atlantic – a key event in World War 2, which is our area of focus in our Government and Conflict Thematic Unit this term Year 6 would like to say a big thank you to all the Secondary teachers involved in the day. It was a fantastic first experience of Secondary life and has got the pupils very excited about their move into Year 7.
