Senior Girls Football Focus March 13, 2018 The Senior Girls have enjoyed a busy couple of weeks of fixtures in the Football calendar. They enjoyed a friendly game against Berkeley two weeks ago, which was good preparation for the TISAC games to come. Last week they played in their first TISAC festival of the season. Despite not having any substitutes, and calling on a few of the U15 players to make up the numbers, the girls performed very well. They were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Ascot in the first match, then were held to a 0-0 draw against BCIS in their second game. They were unlucky not to win as they enjoyed most of the possession in these games. Sadly, the lack of substitutes and back-to-back games took their toll physically on the players. At the weekend, they played in the TISAC tournament, hosted at Bromsgrove International School. In three games, the girls won one, drew one and lost one. They were knocked out after the group games by the finalists, despite drawing against the eventual winners, Ascot. If Prep were able to convert their chances in front of goal more, it could have been a different story, as they played some of the best football as a team on the day. Well played girls!
