Sixth Form Enrichment - Bangkok Prep

Sixth Form Enrichment

Community Service

At Bangkok Prep, we believe that a successful student is also emotionally mature and has a ‘rounded’ education so that they are prepared for independence at university. To this end students are expected to engage in community service projects and discuss wider issues through our Personal, Social and Health education (PSHE) programme. This involves a weekly commitment to a charity organisation selected by the school in partnership with the students. It allows our students to empathise with local communities, searching for solutions with limited means. As part of our mission to “embrace social and personal responsibility”, Bangkok Prep places high value on community service. We offer students opportunities to work independently and collaboratively to support community projects, promote an awareness of environmental and human concerns and issues and encourage participation in service schemes and international charities.

In-School Assistance Programme

The In-School Assistance Programme is also an important part of the PSHE programme and aims at enhancing the community link at Bangkok Prep. It provides them work experience, independence, and makes them aware of responsibilities. This programme encourages the Secondary students to take an active role in the supportive and nurturing environment for our younger students. With the help of the In-School Assistance Programme, Sixth Form students prepare for independent life, become contributing citizens through fulfilling a commitment.
