ISP Chess Masters uses chess to help students grow as thinkers, problem‑solvers and confident learners. Students learn and practise on ChessKid, then apply their skills in themed challenges and online tournaments with peers across ISP. The programme supports the development of key life competencies. Students strengthen Critical Thinking by recognising patterns, comparing options and planning ahead. They develop Digital Responsibility by using ChessKid safely and respectfully. They build Confidence by trying new challenges, sharing ideas, learning from mistakes and celebrating progress. Our Chess ECA celebrated an exciting week, with Paul (7EM) topping the ChessKid leaderboard at 1,053 stars, closely followed by Thara (Year 7) with 1,047 and Benny with 811. Congratulations to Paul and Thara for surpassing 1,000 stars, Aaron (7SL) for reaching 545, and Charlie (7PS) and Koki for progressing to 311 and 185 respectively. Under the leadership of Chess Captain Moss and Vice Captain Krit, students continue to practise, support one another and prepare for the upcoming FOBISIA 18 & Under Chess Championship. Well done to all our players!
