Proudly sustainable

Sustainability at Bangkok Prep is a team effort with our whole school community leading the way and driving change across four pillars – Education, Environment, Wellbeing for All and Leadership for the Future.

At our private school in Bangkok, students get curious about the UN Global Goals, share ideas and launch projects that spark real impact. Teachers challenge and support, families join in and everyone owns their role in building a greener future. That’s how Bangkok Prep shapes confident planet protectors and inspires a community where sustainability is a real way of life.

Sustainability at Bangkok Prep

Our sustainability vision is integrated into our curriculum, school practices, activities, campaigns and student leadership. Through our operations and internal values, we create positive impact and fulfil our commitment through four pillars.

  • Education

    Education

At our international school in Thailand, students lead the way in shaping a more sustainable future with sustainability woven into every part of our curriculum. They explore real-world challenges, collaborate on eco-projects and drive positive change. We connect with local communities and partner with organisations to make a lasting impact to enhance the learning experience.

  • Environment

    Environment

Our community leads the collective responsibility to be the steward of nature and the environment as we pave the way through sustainable practices, including environmental education, future technology, innovations and wider community engagement.

  • Wellbeing for All

    Wellbeing for All

We create a safe, secure space where every student, staff member and visitor feels supported. Our safeguarding policy is the foundation, but we go further as students grow in an environment that cares for their mental, emotional and physical welfare. Staff thrive in a happy workplace that values social and occupational wellbeing. We reach out to our wider community, supporting the wellbeing and livelihoods of those who need it most.

  • Leadership for the Future

    Leadership for the Future

In a rapidly changing world, leadership stands out as one of the most important skills for the future. At Bangkok Prep, we encourage everyone to lead and support every member of our community to tackle problems, create opportunities, inspire others and work towards solutions for the good of all.

Eco campus

Our world-class learning spaces are designed to empower students and respect the environment.

Solar panels

As a committed Green Flag Eco School, we’ve installed a large number of solar panels at our Secondary Campus, generating enough renewable energy to power our facilities and even supply other businesses in the T77 complex during peak periods.

Electric vehicle charging station

We’re proud to be the first international school in Thailand to offer a SHARGE Electric Vehicle charging station, compatible with all electric vehicles, right on campus. Our Secondary Campus features two BMW i3s Battery Electric Vehicles, available for use, showing our dedication to cleaner transport and future-ready learning.

Recycling

Recycling is a real, visible part of daily life. We’ve rolled out new recycling bins across campus. They’re clearly marked, so it’s easy to separate plastics, cans and other waste. Students step up and lead efforts, learning how their choices help protect the planet. It’s hands-on, it’s practical and it’s supported by the IVL Foundation.

Food waste

Our Schools turns some of the daily food waste into compost that is utilised around the school grounds. The organic compost machine uses food waste, coconut husk and microorganisms to upto 50kgs of compost in just 24hrs.

Our Forest Campus

Our Forest Campus

Bangkok Prep’s Forest Campus in Bangkrajao, the Bangkok Green Lung, brings learning to life in the heart of nature. A modern pavilion supports indoor teaching and learning, while an outdoor area and a winding Wander Woods Nature Trail spark curiosity and confidence in every student.

Launched in 2020 on land next to the Get Growing Community farm, the Forest Campus stands as our first Headquarters for Sustainability and Environmental Education. Strong partnerships with the local neighbourhood and Forest School UK open up new ways for students to connect, question and grow.

Exploration in our Wander Woods Nature Trail

Exploration in our Wander Woods Nature Trail

Bangkok Prep’s new Wander Woods Nature Trail, built near the Pre-Nursery facilities, gives children the freedom to get curious, explore and grow in confidence every day. Surrounded by greenery, they spot insects, observe plants and enjoy quiet moments with friends. Outdoor learning sparks new questions and builds real-world skills, helping students connect with nature and each other.

Families and teachers join in too, making the most of a space designed for discovery and joyful learning.
