What a week! To wrap up our STEAM Week, our Primary students have been captivated by the London National Gallery’s ‘Take One Picture’ initiative. 🎨✨This year, we took a deep dive into Hans Holbein’s 1533 masterpiece, The Ambassadors. Our young detectives spent time identifying the painting’s intricate details—from maps, globes, fashion and mathematical tools to the mysterious "hidden" skull. True to the spirit of the project, our teachers then handed the reins to the students, building a bespoke week of lessons based entirely on the children’s own interests and questions. By blending History, Maths, Technology and Art with science and inquiry, we’ve seen first-hand how a 500-year-old painting can spark a modern love for learning.
