On Wednesday 16th September, our Year 2 students were treated to an inspiring and high-energy visit from internationally acclaimed poet and author Mark Grist! Mark captivated our young learners as he demystified the world of poetry. He shared captivating insights into what poetry really is, walked students through the creative ways poets bring their ideas to life, and introduced us to some of his wonderful books. · Engaged Minds: The Year 2 students participated enthusiastically, asking great questions and discovering just how fun and creative wordplay can be. · Exploring His Work: Mark shared highlights from his popular stories and poems, leaving our students eager to rhyme. A massive thank you to Mark Grist for visiting our school and sparking such a love for literature in our students. He also gifted the library with his book, “Rhinos Don’t Cry”. We certainly hope to welcome him back again soon!
