This year, Bangkok Prep proudly had ten talented students participate in the 2026 “Culture China - Water Cube Cup” Chinese Singing Competition, one of the world's largest and most prestigious Chinese-language cultural competitions. After progressing through two highly competitive rounds of auditions and performances, on May 10th, two Bangkok Prep representatives achieved outstanding results and advanced to the Top 10 Finals in their respective categories. Bouquet 11CK reached the Youth Division Finals, while Bangkok Prep alumna Monica advanced to the Adult Division Finals. In addition, Panyah 7SP was invited to perform on stage as a featured guzheng performer, beautifully presenting Krai Rung on one of China’s most elegant classical instruments. Her confident and graceful performance added a wonderful cultural element to the event.Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated not only excellent Chinese language ability, but also confidence, stage presence, musical talent, and a genuine appreciation for Chinese culture. Competing alongside many highly trained performers from across Thailand, they represented Bangkok Prep with great professionalism and pride. We are especially delighted to congratulate Monica, who achieved 4th Place in the Adult Division and has now officially qualified to represent Thailand in the next stage of the global Chinese singing competition. The event was attended by many distinguished guests, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy, Chinese business leaders, and members of the wider Thai-Chinese community. Bangkok Prep was also honoured to have the support of Ms Court-Smith and Khun Patrada, whose presence meant a great deal to both students and families. This memorable experience would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of our parents, school community, and teachers. We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their courage, dedication, and outstanding performances on such a major stage.Congratulations once again to all participants, and we wish Monica the very best of luck in the next international stage of the competition!
