We had a very special guest in Primary during Book Week! Renowned environmental journalist and author Sarah Roberts visited our school to share the world of her "Somebody" series—from the famous Stanley the plastic bag to Colin the aluminum can. Sarah was inspiring to all and provided personalised experiences for our children. It was a day filled with storytelling, science, and a lot of heart! From our youngest learners in Early Years to our budding journalists in Key Stage 2, Sarah inspired every student to look at the world through "eco-tinted" glasses. ❤️ Our Eco-Takeaways: 🌍💪 Small Steps: One less plastic bag makes a huge difference to our oceans. 🛍️❌ Big Voices: We can use our writing and art to protect wildlife, just like Sarah. ✍️🐾 Be a Hero: Every student left feeling empowered to be a protector of our planet! 🦸♂️✨ It was clear to all that children and staff found the day inspiring: “It was the best day ever,”Prime 3NJ “Hearing about her life made me realise authors aren’t just writers; they’re explorers, travellers and storytellers.” Mr Chandler "I'd like to write my own book someday too!” Moritz 4HH
